How long have you been in business?
I have been in business for myself since 2001.
What is your primary product or service?
I am primarily a technology consultant. My primary service is Remote Maintenance and Monitoring services for PC owners - helping keep Windows and other programs up-to-date and providing remote support when needed. I think of myself as a CTO (Chief Technology Officer) for regular people. Think of me as Your Personal Tech Guy. If you are a business owner, you may be saying I Need A CTO.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I've been fascinated with technology since I was a kid. I've worked with computers since the early 80s. In the corporate world I worked with PCs, computerized telephone systems and a wide range of other technology My job for almost 20 years was to help explain technical products to non-technical people. I set up and demonstrated equipments for customers and at trade shows. I gave training classes and technical presentations across the United States and Asia. My passion is helping people understand the technology they want and/or need in their lives.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I don't talk down to people. I have the gift of being able to explain complex technology in a way that is easy to understand. I really enjoy working with seniors, harried homeowners and small business owners trying to keep up. By educating and supporting my clients (and monitoring and maintaining their PCs), my clients no longer stress out about their technology
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
I work from my home, and I'm willing to meet with clients anywhere in South Snohomish County and North King County. But, thanks to the Internet, I can use tools like Skype and ooVoo to meet with folks anywhere in the world. My Remote Maintenance and Monitoring tools, I am able to provide coverage to anyone anywhere that has an Internet connection.

Cash, checks, and all major credit cards.
Which areas do you service?
I'm happy to meet personally with clients and prospective clients within 25 to 50 miles of Mill Creek, WA. But I am more that willing to meet via video conference (or even the plain old telephone) with anyone anywhere in the world.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
I am President and CEO of Byte Slaves, Inc. Byte Slaves is a Chapter S corporation registered in the State of Washington. Your Personal Tech Guy and our sister company, I Need A CTO are subsidiaries of Byte Slaves. Currently I am solely responsible for day-to-day business.
What are your hours of operation?
Typically I provide telephone support from 9 to 5 Pacific time. Monitoring takes place 24x7, speaking events and workshops can be scheduled at my clients' convenience.
